Gayle D. Hearst

Gayle D. Hearst is a 1986 graduate of the U.C. Davis, King Hall School of Law.  She joined Baker, Manock & Jensen in 1989, becoming a shareholder in 1993.  There she handled a variety of litigation matters, including general business litigation and personal injury.  However, most of her time was spent defending healthcare providers in professional negligence claims.  She has tried numerous medical malpractice jury cases in Fresno, Tulare, Kern and Ventura Counties.

On April 1, 2007, Ms. Hearst co-founded Weiss, Martin, Salinas & Hearst, where she continues to specialize in the defense of professional liability claims against healthcare providers and medical board disciplinary matters, and in probate and estate planning matters.

Ms. Hearst was the Managing Partner of the firm in 2009 and 2010. She has also been a speaker on legal topics to various groups and associations. Most recently, Ms. Hearst was a speaker at the 60th Annual Postgraduate Institute where she spoke to a conference of physicians on legal issues related to medical malpractice actions.

Ms. Hearst is a member of the Fresno County, California and American Bar Associations.  She is admitted before all the Courts of the State of California and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
