Lisa M. Martin

Lisa M. Martin graduated from the U.C. Davis, King Hall School of Law in 1982. Before joining Baker, Manock & Jensen in 1989, Ms. Martin served as an alternate public defender for Santa Cruz County, where she gained extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal matters, trying approximately 25 felony cases. While at Baker, Manock & Jensen, Ms. Martin specialized primarily in medical malpractice defense and medical board disciplinary matters and has tried numerous malpractice cases to verdict throughout the San Joaquin Valley. She has also tried business, white collar criminal, employment, and harassment cases. She was a partner at Baker, Manock & Jensen from 1992-2007.

On April 1, 2007, Ms. Martin co-founded Weiss, Martin, Salinas & Hearst, where she continues to specialize in the defense of medical negligence and related claims. She is also currently managing partner. She has been a presenter at corporate, educational and professional conferences and functions, the most recent presentation being at the 60th Annual Yosemite Postgraduate Institute sponsored by the Fresno-Madera Medical Society.

Ms. Martin is a member of the Fresno County, California and American Bar Associations and is admitted before all the Courts of the State of California, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California. She is also a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.
