Richard S. Salinas

Richard S. Salinas is a 1991 graduate of the U. C. Davis, King Hall School of Law.  In 1991, Mr. Salinas joined Baker, Manock & Jensen and was made partner in 1996. He practiced there until 2007.  On April 1, 2007, he co-founded Weiss, Martin, Salinas & Hearst.

Since 1991, Mr. Salinas’ practice has focused primarily on the defense of physicians, nurses, medical groups and hospitals.  He has defended at trial a variety of cases ranging from premises liability claims to medical negligence actions involving health care professionals and facilities. Mr. Salinas has also represented healthcare professionals in California Medical Board disciplinary matters.

In 2010 and 2011, Mr. Salinas was recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer, an honor given to the top 4% of Northern California lawyers.

Mr. Salinas is a member of the Fresno County, California, and American Bar Associations, and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.  He is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California.
